I'm a visionary. My wife often grabs me by the ankles and pulls me down from the spiritual skies I am exploring to get my feet back on the ground! Some times it doesn't take much for me to launch off again- a look from a friend, the words from a piece of music, even the gentle nudge of Holy Spirit when I am least expecting it. But when I soar, God shows me things and I dream BIG dreams!
Yesterday, I was caught up with a HUGE dream. I read Danielle Strickland and Stephen Court's new book, "Boundless: Living Life in Overflow." I couldn't put it down so I finished it in one sitting (only a few hours). God was ALL OVER this book and I haven't stopped dreaming yet!
You see, I work with college students at The Salvation Army's Student Center at Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky and I can almost touch the reality of 2500 students reading this book and getting as excited as I am about sharing their faith with a lost friend. Asbury has an incredible history with revival and I can see God using this book as a stepping stone into their next revival.
Danielle and Steve write their amazing experiences and share their hearts in a way that will draw you into this vision of winning your world for Jesus. You will believe it can be done and want to get started right this minute! God will speak to you through these words if you want to hear him- and listen.
I believe Danielle and Steve's suggested plan of action is that you read the book, get caught up by the heart of God in it, pray a month for a friend who needs Jesus, give them the book (keep praying), set a time to get together with them and talk about the book. I can see the power in that, can you?
I can't wait to see how this dream actually plays out! I believe God has a special plan for this book and it will become a valuable tool for helping William Booth's vision of winning the world for Jesus history! Buy. Read. Listen. Share!
