not comprehensive

The 'internal refugees' were the Palestinians who fled from Israel to Israel during the 1948 war. What it means is communities such as those of Beisan where the Palestinian Arabs were ordered to move to nazaeth and thus 'become refugees in their own country'. This book deals with stories of these people, including he Bedouin and the people of Nazareth and of Kfar Birim and Jish. However this is not a comprehensive account. It is a series of essays and some interviews with displaced persons. However in no place is there a comprehensive breakdown of number and details, probably because of controersy sourounding this topic. This is the only book of its kind to devote itself entirely to this topic and a recent publication, but it is incomplete and does not speak to many important issues, such as resettlement, the village of Eibalin or the case of Archbishop Hakim.
