Top notch Dining Services Team

I've not read the book yet, but will be picking up a copy in the next week.
However, I wanted to say that David and his team are a very dynamic, food service oriented team that go the distance in building and supporting a wide variety of applications for College and Universities across the US. We've worked with his team over the years and look forward to begin the building process his team designed in the foreseeable future.
David's ideas are bright, fresh and forward thinking and that's exactly what's needed on today's campus. The Animal House style dining has been transformed into a culinary mecca of food options, flavors and cuisine, and David and his team are certainly leading the way there.

The principles discussed in the book can be summed up in the second paragraph on page 41. David and his team have gone the distance and evaluated many programs to come forth with sound ideas, programs and designs. Furthermore, I love the following comment on page 41 that talks about rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. Key in, that no matter how the chairs looked, set up or accounted for, the Titanic was still going down. How many of you have decided to rearrange items in your Foodservice program without addressing the big picture? Even the mailbox attendants on the Titanic moved the mail from the flooded compartments to higher compartments, but to no avail, the ship went down and took the mail with it. The mail clerks wasted efforts, all though valiant at the time were nothing more than a lesson in futility.
How futile have your projects been while not addressing the true root or cause of your problems? Don't waste more time, read into the situation and look to understanding the principles in this book. Then you will no longer be moving chairs on a sinking ship but instead guiding it through hazardous waters to deliver passengers and goods in a safe,efficient and enjoyable manner.
Read the book and find the key to the the principles listed on page 41, you will be glad you invested your time reading.

Yet again David hit the mark. It's like he came back to win gold at the Olympics and dominated the arena once again!
Page 158 "For students to become financially independent and to have the highest likelihood that they will not be returning to a parent's basement anytime soon after graduation, the campus must provide wholesome and safe social spaces for healthy social growth and development of students and the new community they represent."
That my is what it's all about! We are engaged in social warfare and the administration is loosing the battle when they set up more non social aspects of living, dining and entertaining. Instead of moving forward many academic environments are move back into the individualism and self awareness, thus more selfies. I see students everyday engaging each other via cell phone and screen time, and if someone has forgotten their phone, it's like they are cast out of the inner circle. It's easy to slip into the electronic world, and become part of the matrix, while letting the outside world go on. It's comforting and controllable, you show what you want and speak to who you want without real face to face time. There needs to be more living rooms, but alas in my own house, our living room is simply a gathering place for everyone to pull out their screens and log on and tune out. I myself am guilty, but at times its an escape from the reality that surrounds me.
Hopefully many systems of higher learning will take steps to embrace the new technology but in a way to enhance communication face to face. The process starts at home and is carried on from K-12 to college and university settings. A 24hr living, dining, social experience is what social integration into society after school is all about, thank you David for presenting it in the new chapters.

A bit disappointed

I guess my expectations were too high for this book. Its not a bad book but each chapter seemed like a sales pitch for hiring him and his team. It felt like he would give you just enough information and then you would need to hire him to get the rest.
